Electronic Timer The Breville HealthSmart Food Steamer’s heating element produces steam within 30 seconds. Activate the steamer by selecting the preset 20 minute steaming function or customize your steaming time up to 2 hours. The delay start timer can be preset for up to 12 hours prior to cooking. Keep Warm Function When steaming is complete, the keep warm function automatically activates to keep the food at the right temperature for up to one hour. Boil Dry Protection During steaming, additional water can be poured into the water reservoir through the pull-out spout. For safety, the steamer detects when the water reservoir is empty and automatically turns off the heating element.
