Products Description : The Bunn GR10 Home Coffee Maker is the least expensive coffee maker in the Bunn lineup. It features the same performance and quality of the more expensive Bunn models, but the housing is not as fancy (instead of having the stainless steel water reservoir visible, it is actually shrouded in plastic). Also good for office use. Modeled after commercial coffee makers, the Bunn GR10 Home Coffee Maker can brew up to 10 cups of coffee in just three minutes. It utilizes a water reservoir to keep water hot and on standby, always ready to brew a pot of piping hot coffee quickly and without the normal wait time associated with other home brewers. How does the Bunn Home Coffee Maker GR10 do this? When you first set the Bunn GR10 up, you add up to 10 cups of cold water to the water reservoir and turn the power switch on. It will take about 15 minutes to heat the water initially. This water will stay hot and ready until you go to brew a pot of coffee. To begin brewing, you simply add cold water to the reservoir, which then displaces the hot water already in the system. This hot water is sent to the filter basket instantly where it diffuses through your freshly ground coffee. Afterwards, the cold water you just poured in will be heated for your next round of coffee brewing. And if youre planning to be away, just flip the Vacation switch and the heating unit wont continue to maintain the water temperature in a ready state. Simple Controls Simple and quick operation is the key with the Bunn GR10. There are no timers or clocks. Two switches control the whole operation. The main power switch is located on the side of the machine and it is called the Vacation switch. Since the Bunn GR10 is always keeping the water hot, you should turn the coffee maker off before leaving for extended periods of time (longer than 2 days). When you return, turn on the switch and the machine will be ready to brew coffee after 15 minutes of heating. An illuminated switch located on the front of the machine turns the warming plate for the carafe on or off. Hot Plate Unique to Bunn, the hot plate is made of porcelain and features an on/off switch. Stainless Steel Boiler The boiler is made of stainless steel to insure long life and better tasting coffee. It is equipped with a thermostat that regulates the water temperature so that it is kept at the optimum temperature for brewing. Advanced Spray Head Water Diffuser In order to achieve the optimum flavor and aroma extraction from the coffee grounds, hot water must saturate all of the grounds early on in the brewing process.
